Stacey Doré is CEO of Sharyland Utilities, L.L.C., a privately-owned electric utility that owns rate-regulated transmission infrastructure in Texas. She also serves as President of Hunt Utility Services, LLC (HUS), which manages Sharyland and is part of the Ray L. Hunt family of companies. As CEO, Ms. Doré sets the strategic direction for Sharyland and leads a seasoned team of professionals in operating the company’s electric transmission assets safely, reliably, and compliantly. She is guiding the company through a plan for business process improvements with a focus on operational excellence.

With a career spanning more than 20 years, Stacey is a seasoned senior executive in the highly-regulated energy industry with proven success in leading high-performing teams, developing and executing critical strategic initiatives, negotiating and closing numerous major transactions, and managing key regulatory and external relationships. In her various executive roles, Stacey has been the principal advisor to boards of directors on complex business and governance challenges, executive compensation and succession, enterprise risk management, corporate restructuring efforts, and D&O litigation.

Prior to her current role, Stacey was general counsel and senior vice president for regulatory affairs of publicly-traded InfraREIT, Inc., a $1.3B real estate investment trust that owned regulated transmission assets in the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) region. At InfraREIT, she led two significant M&A transactions, including the sale of the company itself, advised the board of directors on complex governance issues, and settled a major utility rate case. Before that, Stacey spent eight years at Energy Future Holdings Corp. (EFH) f/k/a TXU Corp., most recently serving as executive vice president, general counsel, and chief restructuring officer after the company was taken private by KKR, Goldman Sachs, and TPG in the largest-ever LBO at the time. At EFH, she was a member of the 6-person senior executive team that set the strategic direction for the company, and she managed all aspects of the largest Chapter 11 restructuring ever filed in Delaware as the company worked out a plan to restructure more than $40 billion in debt.

Before joining EFH, Stacey was a trial lawyer with Vinson & Elkins LLP where she engaged in a business litigation practice for 11 years, handling complex business disputes and antitrust matters.

Stacey is on the Executive Committee of the Texas Women’s Foundation and is an active member of the United Way Women of Tocqueville. She also serves as a trustee of Trinity Christian Academy, where her sons attend school. She is a member of the Dallas Assembly and a 2010 graduate of the Dallas Regional Chamber’s Leadership Dallas. She previously served on the national and local boards of Girls Inc, including as a member of the audit committee for the national organization, and as a board member of the Trinity River Local Government Corporation.

Stacey has been named by the Dallas Business Journal as one of the Top 25 Women in Business. In 2015, the EFH Legal Team was named Legal Department of the Year by Texas Lawyer; in 2016, Stacey was named Outstanding Corporate Counsel by the Dallas Women Lawyers Association; and in 2018, she was named Outstanding General Counsel of the Year by the Association of Corporate Counsel DFW Chapter.

Stacey received her juris doctorate from Harvard Law School in 1997.
